Outdoor Wood Restoration

Specialist care for all your outdoor wood.

Decks, fences, pergolas, railings, and more — every exposed wood surface on your property deserves the right cleaning and protection. We’re wood-restoration specialists, not general pressure washers.

Why expertise matters

Wood isn’t a one-size-fits-all job.

Different woods — cedar, pressure-treated pine, hardwoods — and different surfaces weather in different ways. The right approach depends on species, age, prior finishes, and exposure. We’re dedicated to exterior wood, so the technique and products we use are chosen for your surfaces, not a generic blast from a pressure washer.

Wood-specific technique

Correct pressure, chemistry, and brightener for each species — no guessing, no damage.

Surface-first preparation

Proper prep is what makes a new finish bond and last. We never skip it.

Protective finishes

Stains and sealers chosen for your wood’s exposure to sun, rain, and moisture.

How it works

Our restoration process

A consistent, careful approach across every surface.

01

Evaluate the wood

We identify each surface’s species, age, prior finish, and exposure.

02

Check soundness

We flag rot, loose boards, or instability before any restoration begins.

03

Clean and brighten

Gentle cleaning lifts grime, mold, and graying with wood-safe technique.

04

Prepare for finishing

Drying and surface prep give the new finish a clean, even base.

05

Refinish and protect

Premium stain and sealer applied to every exposed face.

06

Review and guide

We walk the result with you and share upkeep guidance.

Restore vs. replace

Often, you don’t need to rebuild.

Weathering changes appearance but doesn’t always damage the wood. Where the structure is sound, restoration brings the surface back to life for a fraction of the cost of replacement — and keeps good lumber out of a landfill.

Cost-effective

Restoration is usually far less than new lumber, demolition, and disposal.

Less disruption

No demolition crews or dumpsters — your outdoor space stays in service.

Sustainable

Restoring keeps usable wood in place instead of replacing it with new material.

Severely rotted or structurally unsafe wood may need repair or replacement before restoration. We’ll always be honest about what your wood really needs.

FAQ

Outdoor wood restoration questions

What’s the difference from a power-washing company?
We specialize in exterior wood. We tune pressure, chemistry, and products to each species and surface rather than using one aggressive setting — which can damage wood.
Can you handle a whole property in one visit?
Yes. Many projects combine a deck, fence, railing, and other surfaces. We can scope the full set and plan the work together.
Do you only restore decks and fences?
No — we cover pergolas, porch flooring, railings, steps, and other exterior wood structures. If it’s exposed wood, we can assess it.
Is restoration ever not possible?
If wood is severely rotted, loose, or structurally unsafe, repair or replacement may be needed before restoration. We assess that honestly upfront.
Do you serve commercial properties and HOAs?
Yes. We work with property managers, HOAs, and commercial owners across Chicagoland and Houston on exterior wood maintenance.
